Well, being an Islamabadi, Murree has been hosting us since childhood but all of us have overheard how half of the family finds it too overrated while the other half finds it too underrated to be visited. Being a Gen-Zier myself, I had been struggling to come up with a conclusion as this soul goes through multiple mood swings! Sometimes, all it wants is a peaceful place to rant life while on many occasions it asks nothing less than an ever wild, loudest party with crowd pulling at its best. Here are few places to visit while you’re on your Murree trip, leave your thoughts in the comments, we’d love to hear your POV.
Kashmir Point
One of the most scenic points of Murree
surrounded by mountains of Kashmir, this point is 7500 feet above the sea
level. Not just the view, this point offers entertainment for every age and
person. Find some swing rides here ranging from manual see-saw to electronic dragon
pendulums attracting kids of all ages. For the foodie you, this place has got
stalls for traditional tea and coffee, masala pakora (fritters), hot fries and
some piping hot corn soup. Of course, it doesn’t end here! Rent out a horse or
pony and travel through the nature reflecting streets of Murree to satisfy that
nature loving soul of yours!
Ayubia
You might not know but Ayubia is
one of Pakistan’s national parks named after the president Ayub Khan back in 1984.
This mountainous valley lies 8000 feet above the sea level and is known as the
home of monkeys from last many years! Carrying your kids along, this place is a
must go for you. Ayubia connects mall road Murree with Nathia Galli, the
beautiful highway is a modern structured road leading through steep curves, highs,
and lows. Stop by any point there, enjoy some Bhatta (corn on the cob) and let
your kids breathe the heavenly nature. Don’t forget to wear your seatbelts!
Nathia Galli
Another jaw-dropping sight of
Murree, showering you with unpolluted nature, beautiful mountain tops, street
food joints and some extra ordinary lavish resorts with facilities of single and
suite rooms. This place is located 7900 feet above the sea level and forms the
highest peak amongst all the mountain ranges of Murree. Due to its high-altitude
geography, it is considered as one of the best hiking tracks in the range
offering a perfect path for beginners and pro hikers. If you’re a newly wed
man, take your spouse to the place and impress her with your hiking hacks. All
the best!
The Mall Road
Who doesn’t know the famous mall road?
Over the years, we have seen this placed overcrowded with people and seller
shops only. But of course, it exists as the heart of Murree who has given life
to it. Being on hill stations not everyone is a nature lover, some people find
peace in shopping only and this place is heaven for the shopping brats for
sure. From candies to candles, from shoes to crockery find everything on this 2-kilometer-long
road and shop your heart out!
